I’ve stayed away from commented on Brett Favre’s request for reinstatment for a reason. Simply put, I really don’t care if he stays or if he goes. BUT…I do have an opinion about it. lol
If I was a part of the Green Bay Packers organization, I’d let him comeback alas Michael Jordan, wearing the Four – Five (sing it like Jay Z) with another team. Brett held a press conference to announce his retirement..his wife was there, he cried, the fans were grief-stricken, ESPN ran coverage re: his career for an entire week, you get the picture. He said goodbye to the game that he loves, when all those around him ADVISED him not too. They knew what Brett didn’t, “he wasn’t ready to give up football.” But he did, so here we are.
Here’s my Top Five Reasons to let Brett Favre go:
- He plays maverick football when the games on the line. You can’t question his heart but I do question his decision-making ability. Check out how many INTs he’s thrown. Yea, yea, he funs to watch, but the smiles disappear, when you lose. I had him as my QB on fantasy football….hmph!
- Eventually the Packers and their fans have to move, and that time is now.
- What about Aaron Rodgers? If you bench him in favor of Favre this year, what happens when Brett decides to really leave the game? What does that say for loyalty and Aaron’s confidence.
- Brett was one game away from playing in the Super Bowl. The same team was intact for this upcoming season and yet and still, he decided to retire. The taste of victory wasn’t good enough?
- Get what you can, while you can. If he’s that’s valuable, let him sign with another team, and get as many draft picks as you can for Brett.
I think the top guns in Green Bay have decided to look ahead, instead of looking back and I don’t blame them, so slay me. Let him go already!

In an interview with The St. Petersburg Times, recently retired defense end Warren Sapp made it sound like his next gig may take him to reality TV.
“I might do that Dancing With the Stars,” Sapp said of his future plans. “It’s something that sort of came out of nowhere. But I enjoy the idea of training for something else. My whole life has been football. I could hang out in L.A. for a few weeks. My daughter would love it. There’s nothing wrong with my smile. I don’t think I speak Ebonics. I think I will (do the show).”
The big wigs over at DWTS are smart. If they want to diversify their audience and keep their ratings high -continue to add an NFL baller to the lineup. Of course the women will watch, but the men will continue to tune in, and possibly vote. Who doesn’t want to see a 270+ man get busy on the dance floor! Will you watch?

When looking at the AFC East division, its hard not to give the #1 spot to the New England Patriots. This team has proven year after year, that they’re the team to beat. With the rest of the AFC East in the midst of rebuilding and tutoring its young, the New England Patriots have managed to keep its core veterans together, while replacing those who took the money (over a possible championship), without recreating the wheel. If your looking for a huge payday, look past this organization.
During the Super Bowl, the NY Giants showed the rest of the league how to get it done against this high powered offense. But don’t be fool, the day after the game was played, Belichick, a defensive coach first, was already preparing for this upcoming season. You won’t see a repeat of last year’s blow-outs, but expect the Patriots to try and shut teams out. It’s been said, time and time again, that defense wins championships, and this will hold true down in Tampa Bay on Feb. 1, for Super Bowl XLIII!

Tom Brady and members of the offensive line participates in a drill during the first day of training camp at Gillette Stadium. The NY Giants exposed the Pats during the Super Bowl. Expect to see a different offense this season.

Vince Wilfork #75 stretching those big limbs during warm up.
Coach Bill Belichick and his infamous hoodie. He should have worn it during the Super Bowl, lol
RB Laurence Maroney #39 He’ll share the ball with Lamont Jordan (an ex-Jet/Raider) who was signed off the waiver wire.

Randy Moss #81 sharing a laugh. I’m sure its not funny to the rest of the AFC. They know the Pats’ goal is Super Bowl or bust!
