The February issue of Essence Magazine is oozing sexiness with Reggie on the cover. Shame on Essence tho, this picture is and oldie but a goodie!! They couldn’t afford a photo shoot? I demand a picture of Reggie in a tub, with the water waist-high, and bubbles of course. Wishful thinking? okay.
ESSENCE’s first “Black Men, Love and Relationships” issue features its top 10 countdown of the sexiest men in sports, music and Hollywood. Then ESSENCE senior editor Jeannine Amber, channeling her inner bad girl, spins ten naughty tales starring some of our favorite men to curl up with. Reggie appears in the magazine along with Idris Elba, Lance Gross and LL Cool J.

I’m going to have to take a look at the magazine the next time I go to the store.

Sorry but Reggie, Essence, ” love from a black man’s prespective” don’t go together. Get a brother that’s in love with a sister to be the face of such an issue. Essence audience is mainly black women, so I don’t get their choice.

What a joke. Reggie Bush on the cover of Essence? Now I’ve seen everything. That’s some nerve.

@My Sweet Me – I truly didn’t think Reggie being on the cover would be so controversial. He’s still a BLACK man, who has an opinion about love. Do we know who else he’s been in a relationship besides Kim?
I hear you @Babygirl , majority of Essence’s readers are black women, but so are the editors and writers. Why didn’t they take this into consideration?
IMO they knew exactly what they were doing. Magazines aren’t selling, so why not bring additional publicity by starting a debate.

I don’t have a problem with a black
man who dates outside his race being on the cover but I seriously have a problem with a black man who dates outside his race being on the cover of essence black love issue. I think its very disrespectful! This is the same magazine that had Kerry Rhodes on the cover talking about what he loves about black women so maybe I should’nt be surprised!
