Darnell Dockett signed a four-year, $48 million extension Wednesday with the Arizona Cardinals. The 29-year-old defensive tackle will remain with the team through 2015.
“I do want to retire an Arizona Cardinal,” Dockett told the Arizona Republic. “I believe in this organization. I believe in the people we’ve got around us, that we’re going to win a lot more titles and that we’re going in the right direction. Y’all going to see me around longer than y’all probably thought.”
The extension is worth up to $48 million with $30 million guaranteed, according to the Associated Press.

Cardinals’ WR Larry Fitzgerald shows why he’s one of the greatest to play the game. His hand and eye coordination is sick! Listen to John Brenkus of Sports Science (ESPN) explain why this task bumps Fitzgerald up the list to AWESOME!!
Did you get a glimpse of his tummy? Okay, I’m still a girl…..*swoon* The Cardinals are hoping Larry recovers quickly. They need him on the field if they expect to hang with the 49ers.

Talking about making an impression! I had to google Lavelle Hawkins because I thought he was a rookie trying to make the team, but he’s been a Titan since 2008. He must be feeling the pressure to produce because this was a move made during a preseason game. Thank goodness he wasn’t injured. The only feelings hurt after that play was Cardinals’ CB Marshay Greene.
My son believes the 49ers can win the NFC West and after witnessing the Cardinals’ lackluster play, I do as well. The defense can’t stop the pass and Matt Leinart….well. Read here.

“I’m Pat Tillman! I’m Pat fucking Tillman! Why are you shooting at me?”
A new documentary about the slain NFL player turned Afghan war hero is set to hit the big screen today and in the process, expose our government once again. This isn’t the first time the government has failed its soldiers, nor will it be the last. Do you all remember the Tuskegee Experiment or Agent Orange? How about the soldiers who have become sick and disabled from a variety of symptoms commonly known as Gulf War Syndrome?
Army Ranger Patrick Daniel Tillman Jr.—who gave up a multimillion-dollar contract with the Arizona Cardinals to serve his country and become the most famous enlisted man in Afghanistan—died in a fusillade of friendly fire on a rocky hillside near the Pakistani border. The bullets, coming at him from 40 yards away at a rate of 950 rounds per minute, were from a machine gun wielded by a member of his own platoon.
Read how his family was determined to expose the true details and hear a soldier recount the painful memory of seeing Pat’s head completely blown off.
I served in the U.S. Army for eight years, two during the Gulf War. I salute Pat Tillman and the brave soldiers who serve and protect this great country of ours, and mourn those who’ve died in the process. The price of freedom isn’t free.
