Initially I thought the story would focus on the schools they attended but this article is about good decision making on the field. My mind stays in the gutter so of course I thought about that as well. Hmmm, I may need to compose a list of my own.
The NFL is addressing the concussions received by players; so this was a good look from Michael Lombardi to highlight the smartest players in the league, in his opinion.
QB Matt Schaub, Houston Texans – he doesn’t have a big arm or fast feet, so he has used his timing and intelligence to become a 4,000-yard passer. - I’m actually predicting the Texans to unseat the Colts and Titans in the AFC South, so I concur.
DE Elvis Dumervil, Denver Broncos. Under six feet tall and not that fast—but still a dominating pass rusher. He’s like a boxer who doesn’t have a great punch but still knocks guys out because he knows how to set up his opponent. Also, he can think on the move, get his brain to quickly tell his feet what to do. That’s very hard, even for NFL athletes. – Given the injuries to the running backs, departure of WR Brandon Marshall and the plethora of QBs, the Broncos will need to focus on stopping teams from scoring. Last Saturday, The NFL Chick and I went to the Ravens-Redskins preseason game. Of course, it’s just preseason, but we don’t pass up game tickets, regular season or not. She’s a Ravens fan, and wanted to head to FedEx Field to support her squad. It’s official: The Gridiron Gals Tour is underway. Not to be rivaled with Ed The Sports Fan’s Shock The World Tour, our tour is exclusively football!
Head over to here to see the video and view the pictures.

RB Ray Rice (#27) for the Baltimore Ravens celebrated his 23rd birthday on Friday at Mosaic, a nightclub in Baltimore, MD. The party was sponsored by Belvedere Intense along with Jet Set Mafia and Event for Good People. Happy Belated Birthday “baby” Ray!!
Baltimore native and Buffalo Bills LB Aaron Maybin stopped though. I’m loving chick’s nail polish!!
More pictures on the flip side.
