Angelina Mavilia has filed a $10 million sex assault suit against an Eric Green. She alleges that he forcibly sodomized her.
The two met in a Scottsdale, Ariz., casino in early 2009 when Green still played for the Arizona Cardinals, the 38-year-old East Side woman says in papers filed in federal court in Florida, where Green was born and lives.
They went back to his condo, where Green, 27, assaulted her, she charges. He then got “extremely agitated and threatening,” according to court documents, and warned: “This never happened. You’d better not tell.”
Mavilia declined to comment on Wednesday night. Green could not be reached.
This is all alleged, but if it’s true, will we ever find out? We know there are gay men in the NFL. We also know they’ll never willingly, come out of the closet. Perhaps he’ll settle out of court, or contest the ‘lie’, who knows.
Whatever the case may be, this calls for a “Google alert.” Inquiring minds (me) wanna know!!

Merton Edward Hanks was born on March 12, 1968 in Dallas, Texas. Hanks attended Lake Highlands High School, where he was a district track and field champion. He went on to the University of Iowa, earning all-Big Ten honors at cornerback. However, at the NFL scouting combine, his 40-yard dashes were extremely slow, and he was not drafted until the fifth round by the San Francisco 49ers in 1991.
He played nine seasons in the NFL, eight with the 49ers before playing his final season with the Seattle Seahawks in 1999. Hanks finished his NFL career with 33 interceptions and 6 total touchdowns (3 INT, 2 fumble returns, 1 punt return TD). He was named to the Pro Bowl four times and was a member of the Super Bowl XXIX Champion San Francisco 49ers in 1994.
Merton Hanks retired from the NFL after the 1999 season and has since worked for the National Football League. Hanks is currently Senior Manager and Director of Operations for the NFL. His responsibilities in that role range from college relations to approving fabrics for NFL jerseys. He had also worked with former Representative Jim Leach (R-Iowa) in the past few years to help propose a bill to ban Internet gambling within the United States.
If you’re still asking yourself who is Merton Hanks, let see if this doesn’t ring a bell.
I remember my first time seeing him do the “funky chicken”, I officially dubbed him “long neck”!!!

The NFL is better than soap operas when it comes to drama!! Michael Crabtree signed with the San Francisco 49ers and Braylon Edwards was traded to the NY Jets. This all took place before 8:30 this morning!
I held off on blogging about Michael Crabtree because honestly, I thought he was being a brat. How could you possibly consider giving up what you love for $$? Show you’re worth it and it’ll come. I’m a firm believer when it comes to internal equity. He was watching just like the rest of the sports world and saw the 49ers playing and winning…WITHOUT HIM. Will he contribute? Yes, because he’s good. Will it happen immediately….NO.
Braylon Edwards signing with the NY Jets was a good move. His latest incident of punching dude in the face was the last straw. He’s been asking for a trade since last year and could you blame him? Just think of your job and the work environment. If you’re a mechanic and you’re not equipped with the proper tools, how can you do your job? Braylon has Eric Mangini (gump), aging veterans in key positions, instability at the QB and a losing franchise. You’d drop ball too with all that weighing on your mind. He’ll get over it…JayZ’s ”Empire State of Mind” lets me know so.
New York!!!!
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
There’s nothing you can’t do,
Now you’re in New York!!!
These streets will make you feel brand new,
the lights will inspire you,
Let’s hear it for New York, New York, New York
The bigger question is, will he and Kerry Rhodes fight over the mirror?
