Sean Payton revealed at his morning presser, that he took the coveted trophy to bed with him.
“This thing laid in my bed next to me,” said Payton. ”I rolled over a couple times, and I probably drooled on it, man. Nothing like being an NFL coach and being part of this with great players like Drew Brees. I don’t take that lightly. I’m honored.”
Can you blame him? Reggie Bush got to sleep with his trophy -Kim Kardashian, and other players woke up to trophies that shall forever remain nameless, unless they drop a sex tape…. :-/

WHO DAT? It’s the New Orleans Saints of course. When you knock Brett Favre out of the playoffs to attend your 1st Super Bowl, anything short of a cover would be uncivilized.
SI’s Peter King writes – Big Easy Does It – Mardi Gras came early in New Orleans after the Saints dumped the Vikings to give the beleaguered citizens their first Super Bowl
Coming up with a motivational tool is huge for NFL coaches, particularly on the eve of an important game. Last Saturday night, before the biggest game in the 43-year history of the Saints, New Orleans coach Sean Payton produced a doozy at the team’s downtown hotel. As the players settled in for their last team meeting before the NFC Championship Game against the Vikings, the lights dimmed, Aerosmith’s Dream On started playing at a Superdome-decibel level, and on the video screen at the front of the room great moments in sports history went by in rapid-fire order.
Babe Ruth homering, Michael Jordan scoring, Pete Maravich floating, Roberto Clemente fielding, Tiger Woodsfist-pumping, Eddie Robinson coaching, Wayne Gretzky scoring, Jim Valvano leaping, Larry Bird shooting, Muhammad Ali punching, the Bears Super Bowl–shuffling, Doug Flutie passing, the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team celebrating—on and on, as goose bumps rose to the pulsating chorus: “Dream on, dream on, dream on….” Read More…

So many questions… not enough time. Did you know the Ying Yang Twins were still making music? Right, me neither. After watching the video I thought this was an ode to Reggie Bush (both are wearing #25) and the New Orleans Saints. But from what I read, “Halftime (Stand Up and Get Crunk)” is now a standard in many NFL football stadiums, played most often when teams are kicking off or after a touchdown. (I’ve never heard it before watching the video.)
Super Bowl XLIV is in Miami, so this song just may work. Originating from the dirty south, the Ying Yang Twins are recognized for crunk anthems such as “Get Low and Salt Shaker.” I’m not sure if they’ll play it at Land Shark stadium or King of Diamonds (strip club) but you’re bound to bounce to the beat that week. ;-)

…and then there were two!
The Colts giveth and the Colts taketh away. The NY Jets put a great fight in the first half but you need more to hang with Peyton Manning and the Colts. I truly believe that he’s a master at making adjustments and the Jets realized that as well. During the first half, the Jets out played the Colts and built up a 17-6 lead but when they lost RB Shonn Greene to a rib injury, they lost the ability to move the ball. The Colts defense locked in on rookie QB Mark Sanchez, and he was shut out over the final two quarters. Manning finished 26 of 39 for 377 yards. The Colts are stocked with plenty of WRs and although Revis held Wayne in check, there was no answer for the rest. Pierre Garcon set career highs with 11 catches for 151 yards. Rookie Austin Collie had a career-best seven catches for 123 yards, his first 100-yard day as a pro. The Saints’ have their hands full.
The Vikings gave this game away and the New Orleans Saints gladly accepted. The Vikings led in first downs, rushing and passing yards but the five turnovers, (four in the second half) sealed the deal. The Saints offense took full advantage by scoring points off of the turnovers. QB Drew Brees passed for 197 yards and 3 TDs and was able to involve every WR, TE and RBs along the way. RB Pierre Thomas stats weren’t the best but it was enough, he scored 2 TDs. Reggie Bush recovered after fumbling, contributing to the team’s win with a TD. Even with the turnovers, the Vikings stayed competitive, driving down the field to with 1:26 remaining, where they could have won the game but Favre threw an INT. That sent the game into OT and the Saints won the toss and K Garrett Hartley kicked the winning FG. The Saints better get ready, because the Colts, better yet, Peyton doesn’t make those types of mistakes.
