Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets held a PBA celebrity bowling fundraiser at Riverboat Lanes to raise money for his personal charity organization. Since the Saints are still playing, he was kind of nice to invite a couple of Pittsburgh Steelers to team up with pro bowlers.

WR Hines Ward summoned the spirit of Jordan, I see. Tongue all out…he had better bowled a strike.
LB #25 Lamarr Woodley was also in the house. Height: 6-2 Weight:265 They say the camera adds 10 lbs and that appears correct. mmhmmm
Vince Young flew out to Pasadena, CA to watch his alma mater, the Univ. of Texas play Alabama for the BCS Championship. Yup, they lost.

QB Vince Young of the TN Titans filled some very big, yet empty shoes, for the late Steve McNair’s two young sons. 11-year-old Trenton and 5-year-old Tyler were surprised on Wednesday when Young showed up at their house and escorted them to their school’s “Dear Dads Breakfast” at a local restaurant.
“Those are my boys,” Young told the Tennessean. “I wouldn’t say it was to pay anyone back; it was just out of love. Steve would do it for me. He pretty much did it for me when I was growing up. I have a history with the boys and I want to do anything I can. I am their big brother.”
Young had a close relationship with Steve McNair, even before the latter was drafted by the Titans four years ago. He attended McNair’s football camps when he was young. McNair was shot and killed July 4.
Besides being there for McNair’s sons, Young gave other kids at the school jerseys and autographs.
“It was a surprise, and just to see the excitement on their faces, it’s a great feeling,” Young told the Tennessean. “We had a good time eating pancakes. I had an omelet.

With training camp in session, NFL ballers are practicing and studying hard for the upcoming season. There’s some downtime in between and that’s when they’ve taken to Twitter and snapping photos for us to get a glimpse of what’s going on. Twitter is such a big deal it’s been ruling mandating NO TWITTERING during games and a code of conduct in the books at training camp. LOL Yes folks, it’s just that serious…and may I add…FUN!! I wonder how they feel about UStream? hmmm…
